The National Working Groups for both Computer Consumables and Stationery combined their resources and experience to seek out still greater benefit, from what are already some of the best supported and most effective commodity agreements available to HE Institutions. The new agreement will be managed regionally at Consortia level and reviewed nationally by the NWPCSS (The National Working Party for Computer and Stationery Supplies), which combines the previous SNWP and NWPCC groups.
The agreement focuses on the flexibility and autonomy an individual institution may need, with the benefits of consortium buying power. The agreement commenced on 1 August 2006 and runs until 31 July 2010. Prices tendered will be firm for 18 months on stationery and 12 months for computer consumables from 1 August 2006, after which variations will be rigorously managed.
